Action Required: Our iPhone Mobile Banking app

Apple is gearing up to release the latest operating system, iOS 14.5. Unfortunately, our mobile banking app is not yet compatible with this new operating system.

If you are an iPhone user currently using our mobile banking app, please wait to update your iPhone to the latest release when it becomes available, so you may continue using mobile banking from Blackhawk Bank & Trust.

If your iPhone automatically updates to the newest operating system, please take the following steps to ensure you can continue to use mobile banking: Go to Settings > General > Software Update > Automatic Updates, then turn off Download and Install iOS Updates.

At Blackhawk Bank & Trust, you are our top priority, and security and convenience go hand-in-hand. We are currently working behind the scenes to update our mobile banking app. We will notify you when the latest version of our app is available in the App Store.

When will iOS 14.5 become available to download?

Apple has not yet announced a specific date, but sometime within the next few weeks.

How will I know when I should update my iPhone to iOS 14.5?

We will send another email at that time to let you know how to update both your iOS and your mobile banking app to the latest versions, so you can continue to use mobile banking.

How do I know what iOS version I currently have?

To find the software version installed on your device, go to Settings > General, then tap About.

What happens if I already updated my iPhone to iOS 14.5?

You will not be able to access your mobile banking app until a new iOS 14.5-compatible version is released to the App Store. In the meantime, please use online banking at to access your accounts and manage your money.

What happens if I have automatic iOS updates turned on?

Go to Settings > General > Software Update > Automatic Updates, then turn off Download and Install iOS Updates.

If I will receive a stimulus payment, how will I check the status?

If you have not updated to iOS 14.5, your mobile banking app will continue to work. If you updated to iOS 14.5, you can check your transaction history through online banking at, through an ATM, or by calling us at 309-787-4451.

If I updated to iOS 14.5, how can I complete mobile features like mobile check deposit?

If you have updated to iOS 14.5, you will need to deposit checks through an ATM or by coming to the branch until our updated mobile banking app is available. We will notify you as soon as our updated app is available in the App Store!

I do not have an iPhone. Does this affect me?

No. This only affects iPhones.
